Digging into the "smart meter" revolution to change the way electricity is delivered, sounds so streamlined, with a system that will bring accuracy to your meter readings, cost effective monitoring, and such excellent delivery to the customer at lower rates, who would deny the opportunity? Well, then you do the research. Looking here and there, and hmmmm, wait a second! What does that electromagnetic field mean? What health issues were discovered? Gee, 90,000 people in a part of Denver had their electricity go out, without any notice, until Xcel Energy notified the customers "oh, during high periods of demand, Xcel locks out its customers and your power is turned off". Didn't you read the fine print?
So, it's another scam, but this one is invasive and controlling of your electricity and if Xcel, and other companies like Xcel that have extensive purchase agreements for wind and solar (which are increasing all over the country), the electric company will determine if they are having an emergency event (i.e. - lack of baseload). Then without warning it's lights out, and the rest of your electric appliances (which were mandated by the way), along with your EV (if you decide to buy one), are down and out.
So, the blizzard of lies of the "clean energy transition", is sweeping the US, and like the EU and UK will be costing consumers big bucks to receive unreliable electricity, and a lot of headaches, frustration and in some cases, involuntary stuck at home with no TV, no phone, no computer, either hot as all hell, or cold as the Arctic. A disaster! And coming to all who like it or not the wind and solar will be transmitted on lovely 150' tall Ultra High Transmission lines, running in pairs for AC/DC current and have a radius of 500' around the lines due to that "once again" electromagnetic field.
So, as I continue read the information by Tammy, I will be following the Green Deal created by the European Commission and its experts, that know zero about energy by the by, to watch the green growth of the industrial sector, as countries watch its deindustrialization and believe in the religion of wind and solar buildup to relieve and deter further deindustrialization. Of course, anyone with a few brain cells know the problem will get worse as unreliable, and skyrocketing costs of the clean dream most certainly will be in for the awakening in the not too distant future. And as we watch the graph by Tammy show increasing Kwh costs by country, will then force us to turn out the lights, like it or not, to be able to afford to buy a roll of toilet paper.
I will know more in the next few days but the newspapers are saying that tomorrow (March 11th), the UK Labour government will be tabling "Infrastructure" legislation that will offer £250 per year per household for those who live under the high voltage lines they intend to build across the UK countryside. A final report with recommendations on how to implement regional or national smart grid infrastructure and energy system flexibility is due by the end of this year. As I mentioned in a reply to a comment on my latest post "Emissions on the Menu", there's a group out of Oxford University called the Energy Demand Observatory Lab that has specialized data collecting devices in 2,000 UK homes that gathers information on how much energy is used, when and for what purpose. (I'm assuming that the homes are equipped with "smart" appliances so that it can be determined which type of appliance is being used at a given time.) The goal is to advise government on how to reduce energy use in homes. https://edol.uk/About/summary.html
Perhaps one of the recommendations will be to have AI monitor and operate it all because then it isn't a person throttling or cutting off your power, it's the ever-rational AI. I wonder what criteria will be programmed into the algorithm? Will it be based on socio-economic considerations or that mixed with other social justice oriented criteria? It's a Brave New World indeed.
Perfect ending - a Brave New World, Huxley, and if I remember the theme of the book, was a profit to the testament to the WEF agenda of 2025. For now, the push is on to open the spigots to oil and gas reserves, and the first oil and gas lease sale on federal lands in NM will be in May, 2025, and again in November 2025, and back to regular order of 4 competitive lease sales next year and as long as we have a Republican Administration. During the 4 years of the Biden Administration one competitive lease sale was held and covered less than 600 acres. NM is the state where 40% of the largest oil and gas basin exists in the Permian where the other 60% is in the adjacent state of Texas.
The oil and gas industry is celebrating, but a possible giant roadblock might be in heading its way, as the Director of the Interior (the agency responsible for leasing and regulating federal lands and waters) Deb Haaland, is putting her hat in the ring as Governor of New Mexico. She is an environmental activist like no other and ruled with an iron fist to reject of exploration and production of oil and gas operations under the Biden Administration. Although she will no longer be the horror for the industry on public lands, the state has a checkerboard (or a tract on 4 sections within the 36 sections in a survey) so she can make development difficult for access and environmental regs on those state lands.
So, we can only hope she is defeated in the election, but NM is like every other state, which we call "blue" (NY, CA, etc.) and they take all they can from the oil and gas wells, which deliver billions in revenue and taxes and millions of jobs. But, they are desperate for money, and just can't help themselves. And, naturally, they must have an enemy and the oil and gas industry is a prime target for them, the Davos crowd, and billionaires funding the Big Green Environmental business which litigate against any reliable source of energy, but now they will face a major foe, and that is a new Republican Administration that is like no other before, since its incoming motto and campaign promise is "drill baby drill" and the American people are all for it!
They are rolling out demand response in Texas now too. One electric coop is getting behind the experiment and sounds like everyone is eager to sign up. With them financing batteries and giving incentives for solar, everyone is jumping on the bandwagon to save money on their expensive solar installs whose costs they would like to offset.
There will be legislation this year to try to encourage it more.
Despite the upper administration move away from wind and solar, the rural areas are still being incentivized to move forward with these control and contain policies. It will not end well.

Thank you for the comment.

I'll include this post in my rant about the "action plan". Thanks, Tammy.
What a novel idea for them, bravo 👏
